Booktionary collects no data. It contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no accounts.
The app needs camera access to read words on the page. Frames are processed on your device, in memory, to recognise text and are discarded immediately. No image is ever saved to disk, and no image or text leaves your device.
The app makes no network requests. Dictionaries are bundled inside the app and every lookup happens on the device, which is why it works with no signal.
The reading language you choose is remembered on your device so the app opens in the same language next time. It stays on the device and is never sent anywhere. Nothing else is stored.
There is nothing to share. No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted to the developer or to anyone else.
Because no data is collected, the app is safe for users of any age in this respect.
If a future version collects anything, this policy will be updated before that version ships.
